In order to use the maximum load from a balcony slab holder, the static friction of the base must also be taken into account.
If a metal balcony plate stand is standing directly on a metal roof or a smooth surface, even slight forces, e.g. from a gust of wind, can be enough to move the holder.
However, if a protective rubber mat is placed between the roof and the balcony slab stand, the static friction is increased many times over.
